Food & Beverage
Urban IO helps prevent unplanned downtime on high-speed production lines by monitoring critical assets – such as conveyor motors, pumps, ammonia compressors, dust collectors - that are in remote areas of the plant, indoor & outdoor. Traditional condition monitoring solutions are often too expensive to justify the hardware + integration costs to monitor these assets, which is why our customers value the cost effectiveness of the Urban IO platform.
Power Generation
Vibration analysis is often a key metric that maintenance teams rely on to monitor critical motors, pumps, fans and blowers in power plants. What differentiates Urban IO in Power Plants is the ability to offer vibration sensors plus an additional fleet of about 18 different sensor types to solve all levels of IoT data needs.

Mining
In Mining, assets are often in rugged environments and spread out over large areas. Urban IO provides the ability to monitor all these points with far less integration due to the range of the network (indoor range 500 meters, outdoor range 5 kilometers or 3.12 miles) and IP67 ratings and a 2-3 year battery life. As part of the low-cost subscription, replacement batteries are included when the time comes and free replacement sensors are shipped quickly if they break due to the unpredictable environment of a mine.

Temperature Probe
The Urban.io Temperature Probe Sensor allows you to accurately monitor the temperature of a surface or inside an air vent, cool room, freezer or other enclosed space.
Vibration
The Urban.io Vibration Sensor measures relative movement (acceleration) in three (XYZ) axis, giving the user the maximum amplitude of movement in each dimension. In addition the sensor will process the time wave form of each sample, to identify the frequencies at which peak values occur.
Ambient Temperature
The Urban.io Temperature Sensor allows you to accurately monitor the temperature of the air within a room, enclosure or open space.
Differential Pressure
The Urban.io Vibration Sensor measures relative movement (acceleration) in three (XYZ) axis, giving the user the maximum amplitude of movement in each dimension. In addition the sensor will process the time wave form of each sample, to identify the frequencies at which peak values occur.
Current
The Urban.io Current Sensor is designed to interface with an Urban.io variable range Current Transformer (CT) and measure the applicable current draw. The CTs are available available in two configurable variants that range from 0 – 10A, 0 – 20A or 0 – 50A and from 0 – 100A, 0 – 150A or 0 – 200A.
Process Loop
The Urban.io Process Loop Sensor measures the current on a 4-20 mA industrial control loop or industrial sensor and reports the mA value as a percentage (%).
On/Off
The Urban.io On/Off Sensor can be used to detect electrical contact between two wired points, an external mechanical switch, relay, contact plate or low voltage control interface.
Humidity
The Urban.io On/Off Sensor can be used to detect electrical contact between two wired points, an external mechanical switch, relay, contact plate or low voltage control interface.
